No matter who you are or how hard you try, "u" will never be anything more than it's ever been: A LETTER.

Brandy: cultivationbrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 01:35 am (UTC)

There's no insanity here. Only clean, wholesome fun

...minus the clean and wholesome part.

I guess U hate that...

Okay, I am so sorry, but I had to be the first smartass that did it.

Wanna die?
cannot_forget on November 15th, 2005 01:41 am (UTC)
It appears that the letter "u" has it rough anyway. Remember we used to go to John Bvrrovghs? Haha!

You can't change the world though. You will be seeing the word you exchanged for the letter u for years to come.
Brandy: limitationbrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 01:44 am (UTC)

Yeah, I know. But at least I can lay down the law and let ppl people know that it won't be tolerated here. Well... only in jest.

I miss that dinky little school.
taciturn_shade on November 15th, 2005 06:41 am (UTC)
I don't. I broke a kids finger there. I only miss the hamster rollercoaster game that was on the schools MAC computers.
Brandy: reactionbrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 06:46 am (UTC)

WTF, JB had Macs?
taciturn_shade on November 15th, 2005 07:07 am (UTC)
yup yup in one of the classes above the cafeteria/ student store. They were pretty good macs too, they ran Quake quite well.
cannot_forget on November 17th, 2005 07:18 am (UTC)
Yeah, WhenTF was this?! We didn't even have decent computers.

Holy crap Brandy, you have to help me. I think I'm going through a bold phase!!!!!!!!!!!!
cannot_forget on November 15th, 2005 01:46 am (UTC)
Before I forget, I wanted to tell you how much I love that icon. Colonel Zeitel lives on!

You'll have to excuse my Kevin for asking dumb questions too. He doesn't know anything about the "good" Titanic game. You and I are some of the rare people who still do.

Now then. If Zeitel wants a piece of me... tell him forget it. He's a lousy shot anyway.
Brandy: salvationbrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 01:52 am (UTC)

Yeah, someone posted them on thetitanic. There were some of Daisy Cashmore, Vlad, Smethells, Willie Von Haderlitz, Claris Limehouse and the Gorse-Joneses together... but I picked three. I think you've seen them all now.

I found Titanic: Adventure out of Time at two different EB Games stores. I should go buy one of them, because I can't find the one you let me borrow.

heh. I'm not worried. I'm sure there's a lot of people who don't even know what we're talking about sometimes.

Brandy: confrontationbrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 02:27 am (UTC)

What do you mean, 'interesting'? Most of them are saying the same thing. Then again, I suppose great minds think alike... :p

Which picture are you speaking of? my default?

U mean like this?

(Sorry - I just couldn't resist!)

Actually, I'll be honest. I was guilty of 'NetSpeak back in my highschool days, when I was always on AIM. Then I got to college and found myself taking three times as long to write out emails to profs, because I was sticking 'NetSpeak in and had to go back and re-edit. And I realized the wisdom of using proper spellings and capitalizations in all walks of life, including AIM.

In that case, u'll enjoy this

Read this recently in a student mag article:
The offenders defend their bad speech and worse writing with such invective that it borders on the laughable, yet most don't know what invective is, how to spell it or where it's used. To them, a colon is something that gets cancer and a solidus is a character from a video game

Kind of sums up my feelings on SMS and AOL internet speakers.

The english language is in serious trouble these days :(
Brandybrandelyn on November 15th, 2005 06:12 am (UTC)

I started on the Internet a few years with AOL and I never had that problem. Then again, I was still a lot different from a number of people in my teens.
